My boss went on vacay.

I'm now Acting.  MUAHAHAH!  My quick (albiet, temporary) rise to power.

Actually, it kind of sucks.  There's a shit ton of responsibilities now.  I hope everything goes smoothly these next three weeks while the boss' gone fishin'.

My favorite photo from last Friday's visit to Akko (Acre), Israel.

Daliyat Al-Karmiel is a Druze village in Northern Israel near Haifa.

Everyone in Daliyat Al-Karmiel speaks Hebrew fluently (unlike Madjal Shams near the Syrian border).  Israeli blue and white flags are hung everywhere along side the colorful flags of the Druze.

In the center of town is a small memorial dedicated to the Druze soldiers who fought along Israeli soldiers during Israel's war of independence, which is amazing since the war perpetuated the division of the Druze communities among Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Israel.  These Druze are considered traitors by some of the Arabs.

Went on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Herzegovina last weekend with my parents, the priest, my cousin, and the Lil Sis.

Oily substance flows from the knee of this statute (no scientific explanation why).  Pilgrims rubbing the oil for blessing.

Dad and the priest left late yesterday evening.  Finally have the place to myself again.  Though, I miss my family.

Cancelled all plans, taking the day off to do absolutely nothing.  Currently am set up on my balcony with a cup of tea, my laptop, a book, and some BBQ-flavored potato chips.

Life's pretty good.
