Daliyat Al-Karmiel is a Druze village in Northern Israel near Haifa.

Everyone in Daliyat Al-Karmiel speaks Hebrew fluently (unlike Madjal Shams near the Syrian border).  Israeli blue and white flags are hung everywhere along side the colorful flags of the Druze.

In the center of town is a small memorial dedicated to the Druze soldiers who fought along Israeli soldiers during Israel's war of independence, which is amazing since the war perpetuated the division of the Druze communities among Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Israel.  These Druze are considered traitors by some of the Arabs.
